Real Science, Real Mysteries, Real Fun!

Join the San Diego Museum of Man's exciting summer camps! Dive into the world of myths and mysteries, and experience real science in one of the country's best museums, located in beautiful Balboa Park! Week-long camps for kindergartners through eighth-graders start June 15. Now accepting registrations!

Each half-day camp is $90 for members and $120 for non-members. Become a member and get $30 off the price of a camp, plus year-round museum admission, as well as discounts on museum event tickets and museum store purchases.

Adventure Kids in Egypt

Can you dig it?! Step into the shoes of real archaeologists as we explore the mysteries of Ancient Egypt. Dig up artifacts, befriend a mummy, and explore Egypt as it once was.

We have a monster problem and we need your help! A new exhibit called Monsters! comes to the museum in October 2014 and we need you to help make it come alive. Not only will you discover creatures from all over the world, but you will go behind the scenes of monster creation.

Busted: Superheroes Unmasked

Superheroes are everywhere, but they're cloaked in mystery. Busted explores the secrets and big questions about our favorite heroes. What is it about bats that inspires Batman? Where does Spiderman get his webs? Is Hercules a superhero too? Together we'll bust these myths wide open!

Dirt Detectives: Archaeologist Boot Camp

Are you ready for an adventure? Discover the many sciences within archaeology and become the next Indiana Jones. Go on an excavation underneath Balboa Park, identify ancient artifacts, and watch out for snakes!

Why do superheroes keep secrets from their friends and family? Does being a superhero require super lies? Together we'll investigate the myths and origins behind today's superheroes and uncover why they're cloaked in such mystery. We'll discover why Batman wears a mask, but Superman doesn't, and we'll even design our own hero stories.
