Pre and Post visit lesson plans
Language Arts and Anthropology: A Program for Enhancing English Literacy with Museum of Man Education Programs was funded with a grant from the De Falco Family Foundation, Gig Harbor, Washington, with additional support from the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture and the County of San Diego Community Enhancement Program.
The content and educational activities included in the lesson plans below were developed by the Education Department of the San Diego Museum of Man.
We honor your commitment to educating future generations and welcome teachers to preview the museum free of charge before your class visit. Simply contact the Education and Public Engagement Department via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone: 619-239-2001 x 75 and let us know when you would like to visit.
Our education staff will confirm your availability and send you a guide to our current programs. All you have to do is show up on your scheduled day and present your employee ID to our admissions desk and you’re in! Friends and family are welcome to join you by purchasing general admission tickets.
Teachers are encouraged to join the Museum of Man with an Individual ($45 per year) or Family ($60 per year) Membership. Members receive a 10% discount in the Museum Store, discounts on Summer Camp, discounts on resource kits, free admission to lectures, the “Discovery” newsletter, and invitations to gallery openings. Please call the Membership Department at ext. 19 for further information.
