Rock Art Symposium 2011
Nov 5, 2011 – 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The fascinating study of rock art is the subject of our annual Rock Art Symposium held on the first Saturday of November every year. This year, ROCK ART 2011, our 36th annual Symposium, will meet on Saturday, November 5. This day-long event offers participants the opportunity to share in the results of rock art research around the globe, presented in slide-illustrated lectures.
Registration: $40 for students and Museum members, $50 for general admission, including a commemorative ceramic mug. The
Rock Art 2011 Flyer with registration information and directions to the Symposium is now available. This year’s Symposium will be held at the Otto Center at the San Diego Zoo on Park Blvd. in San Diego’s Balboa Park.
Location: Otto Center at the San Diego Zoo (download registration form for a map to the Otto Center)
T-shirts: Our 2011 Symposium logo and T-shirt design features a Maricopa shield design (seen at right) adapted from a petroglyph in Red Rock Canyon in the lower Gila River region of southwestern Arizona. Rock Art 2011 T-shirts will again be available at a cost of $15. Orders must be received
by October 15 to guarantee a shirt, so be sure to place your order along with your registration.
