Financial Statements

In October 2004 the State of California implemented the Nonprofit Integrity Act (Senate Bill 1262). The bill went into effect January 1, 2005. The purpose of this new legislation is to minimize the potential for accounting abuses within, and to provide operational oversight of, the State's charitable entities.

As a public benefit corporation registered with the Secretary of State of the State of California with a 501(c)(3) IRS tax status, the Museum intends to fully comply with the provisions of the Nonprofit Integrity Act. Accordingly, the Museum's audited financial statements and 990 informational returns for the years ending June 30, 2007, 2008 and 2009, are available online using the links below. The Museum’s audited financial statements and 990 informational return for the year ending June 30, 2006 is available to the public and can be accessed by contacting the Museum's Finance Director at 619-239-2001, extension 18, or bandrews@museumofman.org.
