Museum Activities for Visiting Classes
The Museum of Man has developed the following Museum visit activities to complement your class visit. Recommended grade levels are shown next to individual activities. Most can be readily adapted for younger or older students.

The following Museum Activities for visiting classes are available free to teachers for classroom use.
GENERAL MUSEUM VISIT
Explore several Museum exhibits. This scavenger hunt is for groups self-guiding or waiting for a scheduled tour or workshop.

If your class is coming to the museum to learn about the Maya, then we suggest these pre- and post-visit activities.
Magic of the Maya – grades 6 and up
FOOTSTEPS THROUGH TIME TOUR, PRIMATES PAST AND PRESENT WORKSHOP, AND PHYSICAL ANTHROPOLOGY LAB
If your scheduled visit includes visiting Primate and Hominid Hall, this guide will help students understand the importance of the study of physical anthropology.
