The San Diego Museum of Man also has a permanent exhibit on the Kumeyaay Indians—Native Americans who live in San Diego County. By combining a guided tour of this exhibit with a number of hands-on activities, the Museum of Man can fulfill the requirements of the San Diego-Imperial Council’s “Native American” Try-It for Brownie Girl Scouts. Prepare your troop for their Museum visit. Click here for pre- and post-visit materials about the Kumeyaay.

Scheduling

Advance reservations are required. Please use the Registration Form to register for the Girl Scout programs. For further information call the Museum of Man Education Department at (619) 239-2001, ext. 20.

Individual troops that do not meet the minimum group size will be combined with other troops to meet group size requirements. To insure that minimum group sizes are met, it is recommended that smaller troops team up with other troops prior to making a reservation.

Payment is required the day of the program, and can be made at the Museum of Man Admissions Desk.

If you must cancel a reservation, please notify us at least 10 days prior to the scheduled program. We charge full-price for “no shows,” and for cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled program.
