Museum to Host Chinese Tea Presentation
Just in Time for Mother’s Day

Give your Mom a unique Mother’s Day gift by taking her to a Chinese Tea Presentation at the Museum of Man. The presentation on tea, health, and diet includes a tea tasting, and will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Museum. The event features Tantan Huang, an instructor and clinic supervisor from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Huang will outline the history of tea, its status in Chinese culture and medicine, and its value in maintaining general health and supporting longevity. Huang will also provide information that clarifies misunderstandings and misconceptions about drinking tea.

The Tea Presentation is part of the educational programming the Museum offers in association with its current exhibition, People, Prints, & Politics: China 1920-1980, Woodblock Prints of Xian Rang Yong. For Museum members the cost for the special event is $5 for adults; $4 for teens (13-17), Seniors (65+), and military; and $2 for kids (3-13). Non-member adults pay $12; non-member teens, Seniors, and military pay $10; and non-member kids pay $8. The admission fee includes the tea presentation and tasting and entrance to the Museum and its exhibitions. RSVP by Monday, May 7, 2008, by calling the Museum at (619) 239-2001.
