Mark your calendars for Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., when the San Diego Museum of Man celebrates TOWER AFTER HOURS™. Experience the rich heritage of these global cultures by sampling regional food and drink, and by enjoying lively music and dance.

The Museum celebrates the culture of Colombia at De Colombia con Amor, its next Tower After Hours event on Thursday, July 31. Enjoy the tantalizing tastes of Colombian food and the captivating sounds of Colombian music during this festive event. In August we will feature Germany, followed by Portugal in October.

On the last Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tower After Hours transforms the Museum's main floor below the 100-foot rotunda into center stage for San Diego's diverse communities to share their rich cultural heritage through cuisine and performing arts. Each one-of-a-kind Tower After Hours program highlights a different country with a month-long exhibit of its traditional folk art culminating in an evening event of food, drink, dance, and music rounds out the cultural experience. Each Tower After Hours event features a display case showcasing the community's history, culture, and contributions to San Diego. In the displays, the Museum partners with community groups and cultural organizations to provide opportunities for telling their stories as San Diegans.

These events are a great way to relax, to network, and to meet interesting people in a festive atmosphere filled with refreshments and the rhythms of distant lands. Local entertainers provide the musical backdrop within the comfort of your own Museum. Since 2004, the Museum has become a traditional gathering place for those interested in trying new foods and drink while enjoying traditional dance and music from countries around the world.
