Experience Tower After Hours™, an ongoing series of evening events celebrating San Diego’s unique and vibrant ethnic mix.
On Thursday, July 27, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., we were pleased to present Celebrate Lebanon! Guests arrived to enjoy the tastes, sights, and sounds of the Lebanese-American community, stopping by after work for a cool beverage and hot appetizers.
Over three million Lebanese-Americans call the United States home. Climate similar to that of Lebanon attracted many to San Diego. With an estimated 5,000 Lebanese families in the San Diego area, Lebanese-Americans can be found as lawyers, doctors, government officials, educators, and business owners.
Celebrate Lebanon! presented a unique opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old ones, taste traditional food and drink, enjoy beautiful song and dance, and meet members of the Lebanese-American community. Guests also took the opportunity to visit the many cultural and scientific exhibits at the Museum of Man, all of which were open for the evening.
Proceeds from each Tower After Hours evening benefit Museum programs. The cost of Tower After Hours is $20 for general admission, $15 for students, and $10 for Museum members. Admission is for adults ages 21 and over only, and includes entrance and exhibits, traditional food tastings, two drink coupons for for traditional drinks, and live entertainment and DJ! Tickets may be purchased at the door, or obtained in advance by calling the Museum at (619) 239-2001.
