The Tower After Hours:

Thursday, May 27, 2004
As Cesar Mavila’s enchanting flute music welcomed new arrivals, guests enjoyed a sampling of delectable Peruvian dishes and drinks. A variety of Peruvian dances, including the traditional Festejo, Marinera, and Alcatraz dances were displayed by the group Peruvian Folklore, alternating with music performances by Cesar Chavez and Yul Patiño.
Celebrating Perú was presented in collaboration with the House of Perú and the San Diego Latino Film Festival. Sponsors included San Diego National Bank — Southeastern Branch and Gladys F. Jones, Honorary Consul of Perú in San Diego.
The Tower After Hours programs run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month. The cost is $20 for general admission, $15 for Museum members and students.
Admission is for ages 21 and over, and includes food, drink and entertainment.
