Things to Do in Balboa Park
Located near downtown San Diego, Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in the United States. First established by the City of San Diego in 1868, it is also one of the oldest city parks in the nation.
Considered the cultural heart for the region, organizations within the 1,200-acre park continually redefine what a rich cultural experience should be, blending music, dance, art, theatre, food, science, nature, heritage, religion, and more across 17 museums, many gardens and attractions, the San Diego Zoo, miles of hiking trails, and multiple athletic complexes.
After visiting the Museum of Man, check out more special exhibitions and events happening in all of the institutions all over Balboa Park!
