We’re honored to announce that we have received a California State Nonprofit Security Grant from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. This significant investment in additional security systems for the Museum is meant to enhance our surveillance capabilities throughout the California Quadrangle buildings and the adjoining Gill Administration Building.

The Nonprofit Security Grant will allow us to expand on the work started after the Museum received a grant of $50,000 from the Neighborhood Reinvestment Program in Fall 2018, thanks to the support of former Supervisor Ron Roberts. The Neighborhood Reinvestment Program provides grant funds to County departments, public agencies, and to non-profit community organizations for educational and cultural needs.

Together, these grants will help provide upgraded security for the Museum’s cultural resources and for the added protection of our staff and the thousands of guests who visit the institution and the Park annually.

Thank you to our staff, Supervisor Ron Roberts, and the State of California for their efforts to make the Museum a safer environment to be enjoyed by all.
